Life is a combination of magic and pasta, and that’s exactly what every visit to La Volta feels like. What keeps me coming back is that no two experiences are ever the same. As Hong Kong’s only MICHELIN Selected pasta bar, La Volta continuously refreshes its menus — lunch changes every two weeks and dinner every 2–3 months — making each visit feel fresh, seasonal, and exciting. The Fassona Beef Tartare stood out with its hand-cut texture and natural sweetness. The Baked Rigatoni was packed with bold flavours from the creamy vodka sauce, nduja, gochujang, and smoky chorizo. My favourite dish of the evening was the Chitarra con Scampi, featuring perfectly handmade pasta coated in an intensely rich seafood sauce and topped with sweet scampi tartare. The Fettuccine alla Bolognese was everything you’d hope for from a classic, with a deeply flavoured 6-hour beef ragù. The Burrata & Pomodoro added a refreshing balance with creamy burrata, seasonal tomatoes, and fragrant basil oil. To finish, Chef Roland’s Signature Pear Tart was absolutely worth the wait — flaky pastry paired beautifully with homemade vanilla gelato. The La Volta Tiramisu was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal, with layers of mascarpone, espresso-soaked ladyfingers, and cocoa. A pasta bar that never stands still, constantly evolving and always giving diners a new reason to return. Looking forward to seeing what’s on the menu next season. 🍝✨

Overall a great experience! La Volta has a cozy vibe, though it feels a bit cramped when full. The Braised Beef Cheek was the highlight—melt-in-your-mouth tender with a delicious sauce. Also enjoyed the Linguine con Scampi and the Burrata Bruschetta (very fresh, just watch out for the very crunchy bread!). The Crab Cakes were okay and quite filling (feels like Filet-O-Fish a bit, though). Service was very nice and had a warm touch. Will definitely come back for a pasta lunch soon.

Date night at La Volta and it turned out even better than my first visit last year. We ordered the pumpkin ravioli and chitarra con scampi. The ravioli was the standout — naturally sweet, light and really comforting. The chitarra was richer, packed with flavour, and a nice contrast. Still one of those easy, go-to spots for a cosy pasta night.

Had a great gathering with friends at this cozy Italian restaurant! The newly launched Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage and Butter Sauce is absolutely delightful, this simple combination creates a delicious flavour. And I like the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, which has infused Korean Gochujang, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo, and then some. Recommend to go for the Hazelnut Lava Cake as dessert, the oozing hazelnut sauce is not too sweet and has a nice and nutty flavour. Perfect way to end the night!
