This is my must dining place when I visit Hong Kong, it's been in snake soup business for 3/4 decades, not too many similar shops around any more. For many years, they offer set meal which includes snake soup, clay pot rice with choices of ingredients and vegetables (in winter only), all meal on it's own with great value. Usually people have snake soup in winter, for me, anytime I have a chance to get my hands on.
A nostalgic snake soup meal shop located at an old town area. The set meal B included 2 bowls of snake soup, 1 thick 1 thin, and a clay pot rice. Picked the frog clay pot rice. The snake soup was great but the portion was pretty small. The clay pot rice did have some charcoaled rice at the bottom which offered some charcoal flavor. The shop was really tiny with less than 10 seats. It was really cramped and uncomfortable when the staff keep working just next to me. Just heard that there was a back office at the backlane but not sure how large it was. Perhaps it is better to takeaway and enjoy the food somewhere else comfortably.
I have tried the snake soup, guilinggao soup, snake belly clay pot rice, and frog clay pot rice here many times. The seating is really cramped and narrow, just like a typical local food stall. Just for food ok
