Duddell's is an elegant venue in the Central district of Hong Kong that artfully merges the flavors of traditional Cantonese cuisine with contemporary elements. Located on the third and fourth floors of a stylish building, Duddell's provides a sophisticated dining experience in a setting that invites creativity and conversation. The interiors, redesigned by André Fu Studio, reflects a modern twist on 1920s Guangdong art mansions, drawing inspiration from Lingnan architectural motifs to create a culturally enriching atmosphere.

Executive Chef Chan Yau Leung leads the culinary team in crafting dishes that honor centuries-old techniques while exploring new culinary territories. Diners can expect a diverse menu that ranges from nearly forgotten delicacies to inventive contemporary creations.

The restaurant features a two-floor concept, each with its distinct service style. The main dining room on the third floor focuses on sophisticated dinners, serving artisanal Cantonese dishes. The Upper Room on the fourth floor offers a more casual all-day dining experience, complete with dim sum, small plates, and a popular weekend brunch. The beverage program, crafted by Mario Calderone and thoughtfully paired by experts Andy Chau and Carlito Chiu, features a dedicated selection of wines and creative cocktails that perfectly complement the dishes.

Duddell's also hosts cultural and social events, making it a notable spot for those with an appreciation for art and innovative gastronomy. Its dual focus on both heritage and innovation ensures that each visit offers something new and memorable for the discerning diner.

Food was perfectly served with very friendly services. If you love dim sum and want to enjoy a bit of cocktails with friends in Central, you may want to check out this place! Vibe is good, food is good!

Went to the upper room and enjoyed the set menu, with duck and dim sum add-ons! The food is great - high-quality, very tasty and beautifully presented. I thought the roasted goose pie with plum sauce was exceptional - so so yummy. We also had beijing duck with wrappers (very good) and some classic Canto dishes (also very good). The staff was super attentive and I liked the atmosphere - lively but not noisy! perfect to have conversations while enjoying fantastic Canto cuisine

Always wanted to try Duddel’s main restaurant as I’ve always eaten their delectable goose at the HK airport. Note that they have 2 floors, one for main dining on the 3rd and 4th floor is casual dining with Dim Sum. Ordered their bite sized 3 meat appetisers that consisted of BBQ Char Siew, roasted pork and chicken. Their char Siew was fatty, the way I like it. The beef brisket was so tender even though it was fried in a thin crisp batter; definitely need to try it. They also excelled in their beef pan fried buns, filling was peppery and was a nice addition to the meal. The fried crab was their signature and dipped in the vinegar it was a sublime dish

Duddell’s is an exceptional experience; especially the Upper Room. The food is beautifully executed, full of flavour, and thoughtfully presented, blending classic Cantonese cuisine with modern touches. The baked barbecued pork bun was a standout—perfectly caramelised, tender, and packed with depth. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional throughout. Their signature cocktails—especially their rum based creations—were beautifully balanced and a perfect match for the meal. Duddell’s is one of those rare places that gets everything right: food, service, ambience, and drinks. A must‑visit in Hong Kong, whether you’re entertaining guests or treating yourself to something special. I’ll definitely be back.

7/10 Went here for the evening dining option at the upper room. The overall experience was pretty average, especially for a restaurant with a Michelin star. The dining atmosphere is definitely the highlight of the restaurant, great place for casual catchups with friends or professional settings. The service I found was average nothing over the top, just what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. As for the food, considering it specializes in Cantonese cuisine, I found some of the dishes to be pretty average, the shrimp dumplings were underwhelming. However the fried rice and smoked chicken were pretty good. The Peking duck though, was underwhelming. All in all, had a pretty good dining experience, food could be improved though, but still a great choice if you are looking for a decent spot to gather and eat.
