The interior is definitely why we came here, but we sat at the bar on a busy Friday night, was pretty loud but the vibe was fun. Still could talk despite the noise and the cocktails were inventive and super tasty - the summer games is so interesting using caramelised onion. I never had a cocktail like it before. So interesting. It is on the pricier side but we are in the CBD so it makes sense. But difficult to find but worth the effort, a well kept secret.
Total letdown. Sat at the bar expecting to see world-class bartending, but my $170 "Bread and Butter" cocktail was just poured straight out of a pre-batched bottle with zero flair or presentation. No mixing, no stirring, no effort. I get that modern mixology uses pre-batching for complex flavors, but doing it so unceremoniously right in front of a customer kills the entire vibe. Definitely not worth the premium price tag.
I first discovered Artifact featured on my fav architectural IG acc and knew I had to visit just to see the space. I assumed a place like this might rely purely on its aesthetics and that the drinks wouldn't be amazing. I am so glad to say I was completely wrong! I absolutely love the concept behind their menu, which is split into Earth, Fields, and Sea. The Summer Games was my absolute favourite drink of the night. It’s a savoury cocktail featuring bourbon, jalapeño, cream cheese, caramelised onion, watermelon, and arugula. I wish they made even more savoury cocktails because they execute them so flawlessly. The Skywalker was super refreshing. It’s a bright mix of vodka, salted blackcurrant, yuzu, and coriander leaf. Classics & Custom Drinks: Their Espresso Martini was pretty good, too. What's great is that you aren't restricted to the menu and order a bespoke cocktail catered exactly to your liking. Please order their chicken nuggets and fries. They are so damn good! The bartender was friendly and we had a lot of fun chatting across the bar throughout the night. Lastly, the interior is gorgeous, designed by renowned local architect. It’s a surreal blend of brutalist sci-fi spaceships and tunnels.
My husband and I love going to artifact❤️ Every time we go, the experience is better and better The place is amazingly decorated, feeling like a futuristic spaceship. The design elements are tasteful and the cocktails are the best definitely the best Asia, 10 times better than Bar Leone and the service is brilliant, extremely friendly, makes you feel like a family, at home❤️
