Stanley Market

Hongkong

The best time to go is during the morning, where it is not too crowded yet. Dine in one Stanley al-fresco restaurants after shopping

This makes Stanley the best first market to visit before heading up to the rest. Merchants here are able to converse in English better than their counterparts in other street markets.

Prices here, though aimed more at tourists, are still affordable although you shouldn’t expect to get the same bargains you can get from major street markets in Hong Kong.

Stanley market is small, covering only 2 streets. However, most tourists say that it is the safest and most comfortable setting (amidst all weather conditions) among all street markets. Most of the products here are silk clothing, sports clothing, Hong Kong themed souvenirs, Chinese linen and clothing, and Chinese calligraphy. One good souvenir is a Chinese calligraphy of your name.
