The food is amazing~ especially the Peking duck. The mocktail is very nicely blend and not too sweet— just to the point. The vibe is super cool. And the most important thing, the service is super friendly and polite— Eddie is the star that night ~ Thank you for giving us such a fabulous dinner time
What a wonderful restaurant. We had a window seat with an exceptional view of the Harbour. The service was extremely attentive and gracious. Our food was delicious. We had asparagus, razor clams and duck. I have never had such perfectly cooked asparagus. The razor clams were garlicky and yummy. The duck was sublime!
Tried this place a year or so ago and was delighted by their unique twists on dimsum so I decided to come back and bring some other family members over. I was surprised that the same brunch menu had changed but it was better than last time. I was quite happy as well that they accommodated my request to be put on a table beside the window for the spectacular view of the city. Some points for improvement would be the service though as this time I believe the staff were not as well trained or perhaps new where we were seated. Food came in slow as they didn’t really check up on us much and our plates were changed only towards the end of the meal unlike the previous time. Overall still a great experience and my family and I were delighted.
Dining at Hutong was easily one of the highlights of my time in Hong Kong. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere is stunning with breathtaking harbour views, and an energy that felt both luxurious and vibrant. The food was exceptional from start to finish. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, combining authentic Northern Chinese cuisine with a refined modern touch. The flaming Peking duck, and dim sum selection were unforgettable. Even the cocktails were creative and perfectly balanced. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, making us feel welcome throughout the evening. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Hong Kong, Hutong delivers on every level.
If there’s one place in Hong Kong that never fails to impress me, it’s Hutong. Perched high above the city, the harbour view alone is breathtaking, especially at night when the skyline lights shimmer across the water. It’s the kind of setting that instantly elevates the entire dining experience. Dramatic, romantic, unforgettable. But the real magic is on the plate. The Peking duck is roasted on the spot, carved with precision, and served perfectly crisp with delicate pancakes and all the classic accompaniments. You can taste the craftsmanship in every bite, authentic, rich, and deeply satisfying. And the dim sum basket? A must. Beautifully presented, freshly steamed, and packed with flavor. Each piece feels intentional and refined, not just traditional but elevated. Hutong manages to deliver both atmosphere and authenticity, something that’s surprisingly rare. It’s one of my absolute favorite places in Hong Kong, and without hesitation, a restaurant I will return to again and again. Definitely one to repeat.
