Hotel is indeed cheap, with the amount you are paying you dun expect much right? However, here's one thing it's very hard to overcome, the swage is not properly done... once you step in the room the smell lingers under your nose... forever... If you have very sensitive smell, better consider another place. Although the hotel is in Wan chai one block away from the blue house, the most straight forward way to get to the hotel is through the wet market which might not be the most pleasant experience for tourist with huge suitcases.
Here you can find helpful and nice staff, no matter front desk and housekeeper. Cozy and clean room with strong A/C, which is wonderful in Hong Kong especially in summer. Located at a quiet and convenient place in the heart of Hong Kong, Wanchai, surrounded by loads of historic and worth exploring area.
Although I have stayed in jungle huts in the Amazon and Borneo, this hotel is definitely the wettest place I have ever stayed. The rooms were clean and the service was good, but the room was so damp that each morning the tile floor looked like it had just been freshly mopped and the sheets were like sleeping between wet towels. In the hotel's defense it was April and still very rainy in Hong Kong, but either way it was very difficult to get a good night's sleep here.
I stayed at Woody House in Wan Chai, Hong Kong during a business trip. No matter the reason for my travels, I always try to choose places that are budget-friendly. I selected this hotel with that same idea in mind. However, I can honestly say that it turned out to be one of the best places I have ever stayed in. In fact, I enjoyed my stay here even more than some five-star hotels I have experienced. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful at any hour of the day or night. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made a real difference during my stay. They are extremely understanding and genuinely care about their guests. The location is also excellent—many places are within walking distance, which makes getting around the city very convenient. The rooms may seem small to some guests, but my single room was more than sufficient and perfectly comfortable for me. Overall, Woody House exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for a clean, welcoming, well-located, and budget-friendly place to stay in Hong Kong, I highly recommend it.
OK this place is affordable, so im ranking it against price, not a 5 star hotel. Room is small, of course, but bigger than I expected! Aircon, quiet at night, great location, friendly staff. Exceeded my expectations xx
