Directions to Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum
The name of the museum itself suggests who it features. Clearly, this museum highlights the life and career of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a Hong Kong revolutionary.
Dr. Sun Yat-sen is ambitious and a critical thinker in his youth. He studied both Chinese and English for the purposes of gaining knowledge on how to save his country. These are the reasons why a bronze statue of his image has been built in the museum.
The architecture of the building is of Greek-style, with granite columns, stained-glass windows, and balcony wall tiles. This preserved building is previously called Kom Tong Hall, a residence of a previous tycoon.
Opening hours: 10am-6pm on Mondays to Wednesdays and Fridays; 10am-7pm on Sundays and Public Holidays (Closed at 5pm on Christmas Eve and Lunar New Year's Eve, Closed on all Thursdays except Public Holidays and during the anniversaries of Dr.Sun's birth (November 12) and death (March 12), and on the first 2 days of Lunar New Year) Tickets: HK$10 for adults; HK$5 for children, students, people with disabilities, and seniors (Free admission on Wednesdays, and on the anniversaries of Dr. Sun's birth and death)
