Massive food portion! The main of lunch set is super size. So it would be a good idea to order just one lunch set to share if you come in two. Did not try the desert as no stomach. But they looked so yummy. Make reservation if you want a table with pond view!
I had a reservation for 7 PM, finally left at 9:30 PM! In my opinion this place is quite overrated as the food was barely any good nor unique, food cane out so slow, and the place was very noisy even at night. Toilet was very cheap-like and was very disappointing. I order the season set menu and the plating was amazing. I also ordered the sea bass... Unfortunately it tasted very fishy and bitter; signs of days old seafood. Service was alright, they were happy to help but just sometimes very close to your face when taking requests or orders. The table beside me was very noisy and kept laughing like they were in in a simple broke cafe. I told the staff multiple times about them and they did not do anything. Tbh all of the food was mid and did not keep their 2025 award as I can find a lot more fine dining restaurant near me with actual good food and reasonable prices. The view was quite good but the windows are kind of dirty making photos from inside for the view seem very low quality. Will recommend IF you have some time to spend and try new experiences; just don't expect reasonable prices for the food and deserts
Pondside Café is quietly making a name for itself among coffee shops in Bohol. It’s tucked away in Purok 2, Sitio Tipolo, Barangay Bolod, which adds to its charm. The place has a laid-back feel that lets you slow down, clear your head, and just be in the moment. It’s comfortable and unpretentious—you won’t feel out of place staying for hours. The coffee menu is familiar, but don’t mistake that for ordinary. The taste and aroma are smooth and refined—simple, but done really well. It has that subtle, low-key quality that stands out in a quiet way. I was also given a slice of carrot cake on the house, and I learned that Pondside carries the Blank Cakes brand. I’m not usually into sweets, but this one was just right. It was moist, soft, and lightly spiced, with a gentle sweetness that didn’t overpower. The balance made it easy to enjoy, even without a sweet tooth. They offer other cakes as well, and they look and taste just as good. For a younger crowd, they also serve loaded fries that are great for sharing, so there’s something for everyone. Overall, Pondside is a place I’d gladly come back to—whether for the coffee, the atmosphere, or just a quiet break from everything.
