For those who don’t know this is a small intimate club playing techno, tech house , house and even D&B since 2007 under various names and about three owners. The original Yumla then M&Co then Oma has now new owners and the club has indeed changed since it was sold in 2014. It was an institution of electronic music in HK and now although it still has good vibes depending on music style or DJs, has partly lost its original vibe which was a club for music lovers mainly. Occasionally it can seem a little seedier or can feel a little trashier after 5:00 am and with less emphasis on community but at least it’s still standing and it’s in my opinion a good place to dance. Don’t expect a good party before 1 :30 and don’t listen to the negative comments. It’s still a place for music lovers and just choose your music and Dj night carefully. Like I said, it’s less reliable now in terms of atmosphere so Google the DJs and see if it’s your thing. Don’t expect super cutting edge electronic music but don’t expect mediocre or commercial music either. By the way, sound system is still great and if you are lucky you’ll have a fantastic night out. The star missing in this review is because the club doesn’t seem to have the same consistency in their Dj bookings as before, but then again I’m comparing it to when it was the best club in Hong Kong with the best music in the city.

I was here on a Wednesday night, the place was a bit empty but the music was really good. I guess it was an unlucky night, I was staying in Hong Kong during the week and I wanted to visit. I left around 1.30-2am and the place was not looking to get more crowded, actually the opposite it was already slowing down. Music and sound system good.👍 With the right crowd has potential.
