We have been going to Backstage Comedy shows for a few years. It’s always a fun night out. Variety of types of shows with local comedy, international acts and the fab game show recently renamed “Hong Kong Happy Fun Time Show.”The game show events are especially entertaining if you’ve lived in HK for awhile, each time different comedians are on the panel and do a HK rant. Fab venue, easy to grab dinner before and walk just a few steps to the comedy venue connected to the Basehall food hall. Everything is always smooth with tickets and events are well managed.
Not too sure about the regular comedians here, sorry to say that. Same jokes heard three times and the first time I heard of them was half a year ago. Hah. Agreed with another review that some felt forceful too, I guess it's a matter of taste. I do appreciate the guest comedian, Yurie from Japan. Would only come here for specific guest comedian.
Been to a couple of shows and they are always great! Fantastic variety of local and international comedians.
I’ve been twice now, and each visit was better than the last. The venue is comfortable, with a nice bar and even a food court if you’re peckish before the show. The events are always well-organized, and they keep things interesting with new show ideas and a great mix of local and international comedians. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun night full of laughs and easy going crowd/staff!
