Our favorite French restaurant in town. Have been coming here for years and always love the food and experience. Be sure to order dishes with special premium products especially from France, such as pigeon and cheese, etc.

[ Three-Michelin-Starred Luxury in Central 🥂 Caprice’s Stunning Victoria Harbour Seaview Lunch — Perfect for Anniversaries 🌊 ] We celebrated our anniversary at Caprice at the Four Seasons Hotel. The ambiance was incredible, and we were lucky to get the requested seaview seating with a breathtaking panorama of Victoria Harbour. 🥳 The service was top-notch and struck the perfect balance—warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff were all smiles, proactively took photos for us, and even prepared a lovely custom anniversary plate surprise. 🌟 While many think three-star dining is just an overpriced vibe, this lunch menu truly lived up to its price tag. The Duck Foie Gras Terrine was incredibly velvety, and the Shrimp Bisque Soup was an absolute favorite—so intensely rich. For mains, both the Wild Caught Fish and Grilled Yellow Chicken were cooked to perfection. The Rhubarb Confit Tart and Valrhona Chocolate Ganache with refreshing dill sorbet provided a spectacular finish. 🍓 A great bonus was the professional sommelier introducing unique wine pairings with distinct flavors rarely found elsewhere. It is definitely a splurge, but with its exceptional service, unbeatable view, and culinary finesse, it is highly recommended. 🍷

Opted for the Menu Carte Blanche for lunch, described as a surprise menu by Chef Guillaume Galliot, not shared to guests prior lunch. I had requested for no dishes with beef and they were more than willing to accommodate. • mushroom onion / lobster with seafood jelly / dill cream with anchovies • white asparagus cream with fresh white asparagus, oscietra caviar snd orange zest • duck 'cheesecake' - duck rillette, foie gras and duck jelly consommé • squid 'pasta' - thinly sliced squid with a saffron risoni base, topped with buckwheat and dill • pigeon breast, beetroot with dark chocolate • hazelnut soufflé This was delightful and the courses were not just gorgeous in appearance but well done. Flavour and portion were just right and this was one of the highlights of our trip. We were well attended to and service did not feel stiff nor intrusive, excited to return !

Had high hopes going in given the long history of being awarded 3 michelin stars. We chose Caprice over Amber to celebrate a birthday over lunch. We were visiting from Canada and communicated with the restaurant via OpenTable with no issues. Service met the standard of a high end restaurant - polite, attentive, and refined. The cocktail menu was walked through in detail and we ended up going with the recommended Water and Leaf cocktails, which we enjoyed. We had a window seat facing the harbour which was nice to see. The restaurant is situated on the 4th floor which I prefer over higher levels where everything looks like ants. I’m sure the night view is nice on a clear day. Regarding the food, I found it too safe and nothing that wowed us. Usually there would be hors d’oeuvres served before the actual course, but I don’t recall that being the case. The Land and Sea tartare was ok and tasted exactly like the ingredients. The Foie Gras dumpling was a bit too salty. I chose the Blue Lobster from the server’s recommendation and was a bit disappointed - the chocolate sauce was interesting however the lobster itself was very standard. The roasted lamb was cooked well to the right level of doneness. I found the dill sorbet of the chocolate ganache refreshing. In summary, as I mentioned above my own opinion is the food leans towards being a bit traditional which I’m sure has its fanbase, but not my preference. I would go to a hole in the wall in Europe for that. The service and atmosphere were good.

Caprice feels confident and calm in a way that doesn’t try to impress you — it just does things right. The food is clean, precise, and well balanced, without being heavy or overcomplicated. Nothing felt forced or overly theatrical, which I really appreciated. What stood out the most for me was the service. It was genuinely warm, attentive, and natural — not stiff, not scripted. The pacing of the meal felt comfortable, allowing you to enjoy everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The atmosphere is elegant but relaxed, making it easy to settle in and actually enjoy the experience. Overall, it’s a restaurant that lets quality speak quietly for itself, and that’s what made it memorable for me.
