New fav cocktail bar around LKF! Stumbled upon Apothecary right after I checked in hotel on this trip, partially because the vibe reminding me of Apothecary in NYC (also great place for eccentric cocktails), as well as the speakeasy setup (see PSA). PSA: the bar is up on 3rd floor at an unassuming business building (see picture for the entrance). I walked by 3x and finally walked in and asked the guard at the building entrance to find Apothecary. It is definitely hidden! Pros: the service, the vibe and the intentionality of the cocktail program. I love that they organize the menu based on taste profiles, e.g. Savory, Curry, Frizz. My favorite is def the savory section. Can-be-better: out of the two savory cocktail I tasted, while the presentation, the mix of savory ingredients and the novelty are definitely spot-on, the sweetness can really be toned down quite a bit, IMO. Esp the French Onion Old Fashioned, I had high hope that is more leaning towards the savory, voluminous direction given the beef consume and camerelised onion. Yet, it still fell way too sweet to my liking. I only finished 1/3. Between the two I tasted, the Cucumber Horseradish Silver Frizz was def my preferred. It was refreshing without overly sweet; the uni on top was a umami bomb! I will be back for this one alone. Price wise, as expected - rounded out $50 USD / pp. Come on the earlier side (7-8p) if you have more than 2 persons. Or you have to wait, though not long from what I observed.

One of the best cocktail bars in Central. Located up on the 3rd floor on Wyndham Street, it feels like a cozy, vintage escape from the bustling city below. Their concept of reimagining herbs and spices into artisanal cocktails is brilliant, and the drinks (most priced around HKD 160) are incredibly creative and well-balanced. What really sets this place apart is the hospitality—the bartenders are super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave excellent tailored recommendations. This has quickly become my go-to spot in Hong Kong for a high-level drink experience!

10/10 recommend!!! Wow, we were so impressed with their menu and cocktails. My favourite was the cucumber horseradish silver fizz. I’ve never tasted anything like it and thought it was wonderfully balanced! So tasty. They have 10 categories of cocktails - 42 cocktails in total to choose from. Most of the drinks are priced around HKD 158. The bartenders are super friendly and helpful, if you are unsure what to choose from, their recommendations are a good place to start. The categories in their menu are: 1. tomato and its variations 2. savoury world 3. the curries 4. martini universe 5. the fizzes 6. coolers, collins and highballs 7. tea and sweets 8. shaken, not stirred 9. all about spirits 10. the vast experimental expanse Definitely come by if you enjoy cocktails and want to be surprised. Also the location is super convenient.

Dimly lit, not too rowdy, smooth service, highly professional. Highest level bar experience in Hong Kong by a mile. The drinks have so much of depth and complexity and the menu is so vast. I would need a week to sample the whole menu as all the drinks would be worth a try here. Definitely on my list to visit on any trip to Hong Kong island, highly worth repeating.

This lounge is in Central, hidden away on the third floor of a building. You kind of feel like you are discovering a secret spot, which is always fun. They mainly do cocktails and the menu is super thick. Like a small novel about alcohol. Very impressive… until you try to read it. The lighting is so dim and the font is so tiny I almost needed a flashlight and reading glasses. Romantic for dates, not great for eyesight. The drinks are just ok in my opinion. They look nice, very Instagram friendly, but I feel like the alcohol was a bit shy. I was waiting for the kick and it never really showed up. Tasty, but not very brave. Drink is 3 out of 5. Service is decent. The waiter tried his best to explain the menu and spoke pretty good English. Effort appreciated. 4 out of 5. Atmosphere is nice though. Good spot to hang out with friends or come as a couple. Very speakeasy vibe. Dark, cozy, a little mysterious. 4 out of 5.
