TATE Dining Room
Hong Kong
Beoordelingen
Had such a great lunch here. Service was spectacular. Food is obviously delicious and the presentation is 10/10.
TATE Dining Room was one of the most unforgettable dinner in Hong Kong! Chef Vicky Lau creates a very artistic and thoughtful tasting menu that beautifully blends French techniques with Chinese influences. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant, intimate, and very calming, with understated interiors that allow the food and overall experience to truly stand out. Service throughout the evening was warm, polished, and highly attentive without feeling overly formal. The Jade Menu was beautifully paced from start to finish, with standout dishes including the snow crab with pepper bisque, Normandy scallop with Oscietra caviar, blue lobster with Cantonese lobster jus, and the pigeon with preserved mustard cabbage. Every course felt refined, balanced, and visually stunning while still carrying strong flavors and a sense of storytelling. The wine pairings were also excellent and complemented the menu very naturally. Desserts and petit fours provided a beautiful ending to the experience. Overall, TATE Dining Room delivered one of the most memorable and creative 2 MICHELIN Star experiences I’ve had in Hong Kong.
Overall food are pretty up to fine dining standards, nothing really impressive or outstanding. The best dishes we had was probably the lobster one, for the mushroom dish the consomme of the mushroom tasted better than the dish itself. Service wise professional, well explained of dishes, great recommendations on the wine. Loved their petit four where they have a great selection of choices to choose from. Atmosphere wise the restaurant is brighter than most of the other fine dining restaurants which we love it as we can read the menu clearly and see things more clearly, and it doesn’t make us feel sleepy after all those foods.
A place that has been on our radar for quite some time but never managed to visit until recently. Phenomenal food. The creativity that goes behind every dish was exceptional. We had a five course dinner menu which was just the right portion for us. The sommelier didn't have the warmest approach to guests, but the rest of the staff was wonderful.
It is our first time in Hong Kong and we decided to splurge for our wedding anniversary and Tate was the perfect place. The pre-booking communication was excellent. The staff were excellent - they were unobtrusive but attentive. Everything was explained well. The food was amazing - I loved the background to the dishes and there were flavour bombs everywhere. From the champagne trolley at the start to the care taken with taking menus home this was a fantastic dining experience.
