tiny, dirty rooms with scarce service. totally overpriced for the windowless, tiny rooms. no towels, just disposable paper-sheets. rooms not clean, hot shower non functional, Wifi slow
Homy Hotel Central is located just a few steps away from MTR Sheung Wan. However, the room for a one bed and bath is really small, and could use additional cleaning. It is on the cheaper side and is probably more suited for a one night stay.
A very good choice for solo and couple travellers. Staff can speak english and very welcoming. Free water in lobby. Cleans your room everyday as well. This hotel is reliable and has a great spot, located near popular restaurants and bars.
~HK$370/night Single Room with bathroom (no window) - Really good deal. Best location- steps from Sheung Wan Station Exit A. If you have luggage, going up is ok, but going down (to airport) use Exit E3, it has elevator- the closest to hotel. - Next to Fu Wah Resto, which has traditional HK breakfast (opens 6:30am), near 7-11, bakery. - Staff were also nice. You can leave your bag before/after checkin/out. - Room was good, not polished but clean. Hot shower had good pressure. Ample space for single person, no problem opening luggage. Common amenities provided - towels, hair dryer, elec thermos, slippers, etc. - You may hear some noises/convo next door, but nothing notable. These are small rooms with mostly 1-2 guests.
I was genuinely surprised😱 by how good this hotel turned out to be, especially after reading mixed reviews beforehand. The room was not large, but it was comfortably spacious and well laid out. I could fully open a large suitcase without any issue. The room featured a comfortable king-size bed, a TV, strong air-conditioning, and a clean, well-maintained bathroom with reliable hot and cold water. One thing I truly appreciated was the cleanliness and the absence of any unpleasant smell. Unlike some hotels with carpeted floors that retain dust and odor, this hotel has a wooden-style floor, which made the room feel fresh and well maintained. The window facing the road was also a big plus for ventilation. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. We arrived early around 12 PM, and they securely stored our luggage until check-in, which made us feel very safe. There is also an elevator, which is convenient for carrying luggage. Downstairs, there is a microwave and a water dispenser available for guests. As is common in Hong Kong, even many five-star hotels do not provide complimentary bottled water, so I did not expect that here either. However, the room does include tea, coffee, and a kettle. The location is outstanding. The hotel is literally just a one-minute walk from Sheung Wan MTR station and is surrounded by convenience stores like 7-Eleven and many food options. Everything you need is within walking distance. Location-wise, I would easily give it five stars. Overall, for a simple and modest-looking hotel from the outside, the experience inside was warm, clean, and very comfortable—almost like home. For cleanliness, staff service, and especially location, this hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again.😍
