Hot summer, sushi and sashimi are always my dinner choice. So let have omakase in nearby, Sushi Hikari in Tai Hang is alway my best pick. Their sashimi & sushi are fresh and full of umami. Love their style, present the sushi without too much seasoning. Their dinner set is fair deal and really full for me. The sea urchin, tuna, negitoro handroll are super yummy. Best food in summer time ever.
High quality seasonal omakase sushi 12 , only 420 hkd pp (lunch). neighborhood gem
✨ Highlights of the Meal: Hokkaido Samurai Oysters: Fresh and briny, these oysters were a delightful way to start the meal. They had a luxurious texture, and the hint of ocean flavor was simply unbeatable! 🌊🍽️ Sushi Selection: Each piece was a work of art! The fish was expertly sliced and draped over the vinegared rice, bringing out the natural sweetness of the seafood. It was like a symphony of flavors in every bite. Creamy Sea Urchin: This was hands down my favorite! The sea urchin was incredibly smooth and rich, each bite melting in my mouth. Paired perfectly with the crunchy salmon roe, the combination of creamy and salty flavors was a match made in heaven! 😍💕
Finally got to try the popular sushi spot “Hikari" in Tai Hang! ✨ Although we couldn’t sit at the bar to watch the chef’s skills, the dining table experience was just as satisfying with fresh ingredients and impeccable craftsmanship🤤 We opted for the mid-tier omakase ($1380) , highlights included fresh seasonal sashimi like buttery yellowtail and delicate sardine rolls, melt-in-your-mouth toro, creamy shirako, and sweet botan shrimp with rich shrimp paste. The warm clam soup was a comforting interlude, while the luxurious uni and salmon roe sushi was a feast for both the eyes and palate. Ended on a high with oyster and crab rice, followed by sweet Japanese
Really enjoyed dinner here; very kind staff and delicious bites. I ordered the light omakase with monk fish liver, oyster, Spanish mackerel, yellowtail, barracuda, white snapper, ebi, greeneye, pacific saury, fatty tuna, uni, salmon roe, toro roll, fish soup & lime jelly. The perfect amount for one person. I think the only thing I'd change would be diming the lighting to create a moody ambiance. Otherwise, perfection 👌
