Craving fresh oysters for dinner? Tipsy Restaurant and Bar offers an unbeatable fresh oysters deal: HK$10 each. Their oysters have a fresh and tender texture, melting in your mouth and leaving a lingering aftertaste! On top of oysters, their appetizers, main dishes, and dessert are equally impressive. One of the dishes that stands out is the Swimmer Crab Cake. It contains several thick chunks of fresh crabmeat paired with a smoky pepper chutney. It is completely distinct from typical crab cakes. Another one is the Sea Urchin Pasta, featuring rich sea urchin topped with flying fish roe and a light fennel foam to balance out the richness. Last but not least, the Pistachio Mille-Feuille with Pistachio Gelato puts an unforgettable and perfect end to the meal. It is certainly a highly recommended hidden gem in Tai Hang for date nights, birthdays, celebrations, and casual after-work gatherings. The food is good, we tried the steak, medium, it is very tender and juicy, with nice beef flavor. The sea urchin spaghetti is good too! The spaghetti is aldente and the sauce is not too rich but rather smooth, good for summer time. And the non alcoholic drinks are good too. I tried the mint cucumber soda, it is very refreshing!
I enjoyed the starters and washed the meal down with an aperol spritz. The $10 oysters were fine but you do need a knife to get the puppy off the shell. The octopus for me was the highlight and was well presented. The mains were just ok. The ribs and suckling pig were dry and over cooked. And for the price, the sharing plate of ribs should have been bigger. It’s an average local eatery. Not worth travelling for tbh.
Nice bar & restaurant in Tai Hang. Quite nice to chitchat with friends here. Cozy & relax. They have special promotion in fresh oyster, only $10@. So fresh and yummy, but only limited for 3 per person. Still nice 😋 Sea urchin pasta is nice too. Rich in flavour. And don’t forget to order their sweet potato fries, crispy & sweet, love so much.
Bd lunch celebration for our colleague, they just have a new kitchen team, the food is not as their last team. The waiter yesterday is like a marvel character doing all the job / tasks apart from kitchen work, he is professional. Btw, HKD10 oyster is not good yesterday
