As a steak lover, this place definitely exceeded my expectations🥰my boyfriend took me here for my birthday celebration, and we ordered the brunch menu - the portion sizes were good for value and everything was delicious😋 Starters 1. Sourdough with charred butter 🧈 1. Daily special (artichoke with jamon)😋 2. Beef tartare toast🥩 3. Iberico pork skewer🐷 4. Padron peppers🫑 The highlight was definitely the pork skewer, the cold tomato sauce complimented the skewer really well. I was a bit skeptical at first when i heard the pork would only be cooked halfway, but it turned out really juicy and tender👍🏻 Mains 1. Wagyu striploin🥩 (medium) 2. Wet-aged rib eye😍 (medium rare) Both steaks were outstanding, but the highlight for us was definitely the rib eye. It had an amazing fat deposition and had the perfect balance between chewiness and fattiness😝undoubtedly one of the best steaks i’ve had Desserts 1. Lychee sorbet🍨 2. Cheesecake🎂 Both desserts were delicious as well - the lychee flavour was powerful and the basque cheesecake was smooth, a perfect end to our meal😋 Overall had a top notch experience at Fireside🙏🏻the staff was professional and attentive and took the time to explain each dish. We also received a complimentary polaroid for my birthday🫶Would love to revisit for the red prawn next time - a well deserved no.18 on the world’s top steak restaurant list!!
My only complaint would be that the requested medium cooked steak, server recommended medium rare, and I said only if there is no-blue centre, so we agreed medium was better. Despite that conversation the steak came with a blue middle, felt the server didn't communicate this to the kitchen. So steak is taken away and finished properly to medium. The other parts of the experience was great and it was a long time since we had a comfortable setting, good service, and yummy food. My wife and I comfortably enjoyed lunch for that went over 2 hours. Adding to the full lunch menu, an a-la-carte order of beef tallow over a carabeinero prawn, the signature dish at Fireside restaurant, was very yummy and had to dip bread on the left over sauces. I enjoyed the bar table setting looking over the fire, as the chefs worked the dishes, with the smoke surprisingly well extracted. The free flow is a nice addition too, and not too pricey. Overall recommend for a small group or couples celebration. There is one larger table for 8-10 sized groups, but otherwise it's mostly 2-4 people sized grups. Recommend for anyone that enjoys a good steak.
A must-visit for serious beef lovers. They offer an incredible variety of cow breeds, each with distinct flavor profiles. We had the Carima Holstein ribeye which was very tender with subtle dairy taste. The steak was elevated by the perfect amount of smokiness from the wood grill. Another standout is the signature Carabinero prawn. It was finished with a beef tallow flambée that makes it ultra decadent visually appealing.
We had lunch here for my birthday and it was such a lovely experience! The steak quality was excellent perfectly cooked, flavorful, and really satisfying. Service was great as well very attentive and welcoming staff. They even surprised me with a birthday cake, which made the lunch feel extra special. They also took a Polaroid photo for us, such a thoughtful touch! Nice ambiance too warm, stylish, and perfect for a relaxed celebration. Overall, definitely worth every dollar. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in Hong Kong!
I like this restaurant a lot. They offer you a wide choice of steak including Korean beef which is a surprise. Steak was well cooked and side dishes / desserts are very good too. The only thing I would hope they get better is to have more selection of wine.
