Maxim's Cake Shop

Located temptingly in many of the Hong Kong MTR stations, you’ll smell this place before you see it, as the fresh scents of cakes, mini tarts, and other baked goods waft through the air, enticing you to at least take a look…

Though this is a huge company with many separate restaurant chains, their bakery is incredibly good, especially for desserts!

Favourites include their famous fruit tart, as well as their cheese tart, but their best well-kept secret is their cheesecake. It is rich, creamy, dense, and amazingly flavourful: New Yorkers, you won’t be disappointed!

Expect to spend HK$ 4-10 for a standard cake piece, and HK$14-20 for a ‘specialty’ cake. Both are very worth it!!
