After 10 or 11 pm, there is no staff / security at the entrance. The staff are on the second floor. This is a problem because I got followed back from the subway station by a strange man today. He turned around to follow right behind me and when I sped up my footsteps he also sped up his. I felt extremely unsafe and I didn’t walk straight to the hotel as I knew they did not have any staff at the entrance. I had to run into a nearby shop (which he also followed me to) and got a random security guard to walk me back to the hotel. They should really fix this!! Also the rooms have a weird smell and it’s too cold. View is nice though.
Stayed here with my family for a week, the staff was kind enough to upgrade us automatically to an available family room when she saw we were traveling with young kids. The room was definitely larger than what we needed with a separate living room space and a large bedroom with a small countertop for preparing food. This small gesture made the stay of our kids much more memorable
Our stay at Oasis 181 from 22nd to 26th has truly set a new benchmark for what hospitality should feel like. Traveling with a young child (Atlas) and family, comfort, convenience, and service matter even more—and this hotel delivered on every single front, and then some. We booked a connecting room setup, and I must say it was exceptionally well thought through. The rooms were not only spotless and beautifully maintained, but also incredibly practical for families. The layout gave us both privacy and togetherness at the same time—something that is surprisingly hard to find even in top-tier hotels. The attention to detail in housekeeping, room amenities, and overall upkeep was consistently impressive throughout our stay. What really elevated the experience, however, was the people—and in particular, Kelvin Kwok, Assistant Chief Concierge. Kelvin is, without exaggeration, one of the finest hospitality professionals I have come across. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcomed, not just as guests, but as individuals. His attentiveness, warmth, and ability to anticipate our needs—especially traveling with a toddler—was remarkable. Whether it was helping us plan our daily outings, recommending family-friendly spots, arranging transport seamlessly, or simply checking in to ensure everything was going smoothly, Kelvin executed everything with such ease and sincerity. There was never a moment where we felt like “just another guest.” His service felt personal, thoughtful, and deeply genuine. What stood out most was his ability to go above and beyond without making it feel transactional—it was natural, effortless, and heartfelt. In today’s hospitality landscape, that level of care is rare and deserves to be recognized. Oasis 181 is already a fantastic property in terms of comfort and location, but it is team members like Kelvin who truly make it exceptional. He is a tremendous asset to the hotel, and I sincerely hope his efforts are recognized internally. This was not just a stay—it was an experience we will remember fondly, especially as a family traveling with our young son. We will absolutely be back, and without hesitation, recommend Oasis 181 to anyone visiting Hong Kong. Thank you once again to the entire team—and especially to Kelvin—for making our stay so memorable.
Absolutely love the high floor harbour view room. Amenities are there, inclusive of a self service laundry room. Close by to tram stops, bus stops and MTR stations. Absolutely love this place, just currently awaiting for my deposit to be refunded though
A phenomenal experience.... The location, the hotel, the cleanliness, the staff everything checked the boxes.. The room is outstanding. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were plush. The amenities were nice. We had a mini bar coffee maker in the room refrigerator. The temperature control was easy to navigate. The water temperature was perfect. We were lucky to have a room on the 23rd floor. The elevators were fast and clean, the breakfast was included and offered several different styles of food including Western. Everything was cooked well. The taste was on point. There is an espresso coffee machine self-serve in the buffet area along with a variety of hot and cold teas.. with the experience starts is when we were greeted in the bottom floor by Bruce. That gentleman has a fantastic personality. He is hospitality focused and you feel comfortable when he pushes the button for the elevator and wishes you a good day. That's a great touch, the hotel is located on a a major road. The front of the hotel will have a little bit of noise. We did not experience any room noise from outside, the hotel is a 5-minute walk to HKU metro from there you can literally go to any place on the island or the mainland. The Metro now accepts tap to pay from your phone or credit card so you don't need to buy an octopus card. Two blocks away is amazing high-end food and all the little alleys that snake through that part of Hong Kong. There's plenty of food stalls, food stores, noodles. Whatever you want for food is there. You just need to walk a few minutes. Everything is 100% walkable This was an exceptional weekend and the Oasis made everything worth our journey 🙏
